After retiring in November 2005, I took up reading books again. "What? You didn't read?" Like so many of us in early 21st century America, I just didn't have the time to experience the joy of
holding a book in my hands and taking the adventure reading brought into my life. Thinking back, I read the most when I had idle time, like lazy summer days in my youth.
Of course I had to read books for school but that was drudgery. I am talking about reading purely for the joy of reading.
Within a month of retiring I was presented with the documentary video about the 9-11 attacks on the
World Trade Center: Loose Change. Through interviews and video clips, a distinctly different story emerged
from the government's version of events. Because I have a curious mind, that video was followed by several books I found on-line about 9-11 and my opinion was forever changed. I discovered that we were being lied to! If the government lied about 9-11 then what else wasn't true about what I had been taught? - EVERYTHING it turns out!
I read about modern conspiracy theory and false flag events. I read about history and religion. I have occulted information about secrete societies, global power structures, money science,
applied physical science, UFO phenomena, war, medical practice and more. I discovered that thoughout history, narratives about events were written by the victorious. The victors defamed the losers
while covering up their own crimes. This is especially true with the accounts of war. And no lie was ever greater than that told by religion. "With or without religion, you would have good people
doing good things and evil people doing evil things. But for good people to do evil things, that takes religion."

After 12-13 years of reading the above mentioned material, I found myself alone in this wasteland we dare call civilization. Truth seeking is a lonely path and, if you speak truth to people not willing to listen,
it's often a dangerous one. I had to find a way home. As the experiential world works, in fact it's probably a metaphysical law, when you're ready, information will come your way.
For me it was another book,
The Upanishads by Eknath Easwaran. This led me to Advaita Vedanta. My startling discovery: there is no twoness, only oneness. Guess what? This is what the physicists
in the early 20th Century discovered when studying the sub-atomic level of matter. There is no cause-effect at the quantum level. Everything is uncertain. The universe is more like a giant thought
than the physical matter we experience. The universe is holographic as is our brain functions. Every point holds information of the whole. Unity consciousness. Brahman.
